The late, Great Ann Williams , a beautiful, phenomenal, & strong women of God, founder of Exotic beauty Salon, and Owner of LaMasquerade Salon SW, Pioneered and mentored over 20 family members (including her 3 daughters,a granddaughter and a grandson), as well as 3 friends to pursue careers in the hair industry. A legacy indeed. Salon owner, Master Weaver, Educator, and Perfectionist in her field, gave 110% of herself to her craft. Early in her life she took a pause to pursue a career in the hair industry then became one of the first Black buisiness owners in her city and a cosmetological opportunist.

 Ann was an "still is" the inspiration and the foundation of Mane Emotions.

Jaz Smith ,stylist and Founder of Mane Emotions Salon is an award winning master stylist, & certified Hair Replacement Specialist, with a visions of always going to the "next" level.

Jaz has studied under many heavyweights in the hair industry such as John Atchison, the Late Olive Benson,Tony & Guy (London England), Ruth Sinclair (Khamit Kinks), Irene Parson (Dudley's), Clem Yat, & Okyo Sthair (President of New Concepts Hair Goods), & Dr. Rodney Barnett (Master Trichologist). In The 25 years in the industry, Jaz has had many accomplishments, platform artistry, certified instructor for Hair Replacement, a NC State Board approved Continuing Education Provider,Trichology Certified, and a featured stylist in the National Directory of Hair Replacement.

Her ultimate goal and passion is to provide a facility for cancer patients to retreat and regain their self esteem after losing their glory to medical treatments and illnesses.

Jaz is one of over 20 family members (including her Late Mother, 2 sisters, & both of her children) who are also successful in the Hair Industry.

Along, with being Mane Emotions Salon and Spa manager,  Miss Torri Smith is the newest stylist in a family of over 20 Cosmotological Entepenuers. With over 8 years experience in the haircare industry. Torri received her formal education at Dudley Cosmetology University and her Advanced Education at The Aveda Institute. she has studied under heavyweights such as color specialist Dierdra Clay, Michelene Barber,& Kia Neal and has learend many of her cutting techniques from internationally known John Amos. Torri is has been an educator as well as a platform artist for Inflance products for over two yeas and believes in healthy hair. She is knowledgeable in the use of Wella color and understands the foundation to a great hair style begins with a "Torri" cut. Freeing Torri to use your hair as a canvas will allow her to express her artistic ablility and convey a true masterpiece. Here at Mane Emotions  Salon and Spa she is the "Brizillian Blowout" Queen for natural hair.  While Torri Continues to perfect her craft she wants everyone around her to "Experience the Difference".
